Mother Nature of Arcadia

This is my idea of what the goddess of nature would look like for Arcadia. One of my many futuristic “upgrades” that would be available in this new world is the idea of having multiple limbs. The limbs would be able to move freely and are retractable or would materialize when needed. I looked to Hindu gods and goddesses for inspiration like Lakshmi and Durga for this particular sketch. I wanted to create a strong and elegant figure with opening on the body to see the mechanical structure inside. The figure is pretty much done but I’m not entirely  satisfied with the face so I will probably continue to rework it while I wait for my canvas to dry. I’m also planning to add hybrid animals and plants in her hands or flying around her to push the Mother Nature concept further. The “maping” will be added in the background and the color scheme will be bright contrasting warm and cool tones similar to my other paintings.
